Code Compliance
The City of Angus is responsible for protecting our community's health, safety and welfare through effective enforcement of codes and ordinances.
The goal of the Code Compliance Division is to provide information to all interested parties and to fairly and efficiently enforce the City of Angus Code and Ordinances.
Angus Code and Ordinances are enforced by the Angus/Richland Police Department.
You will be sent a letter (by mail or personally delivered) informing you if you are in violation of City Code. You will be given 15 days to correct the issue. You will be required to appear in Municipal Court to explain why you are not in compliance with City Code. You may face a fine of up to $500.00. If it is a health or fire issue, the fine can be up to $2,000.00.
